Volleyball Recap: Penney Hornets vs. Brookfield Bulldogs
Penney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell just short of the Brookfield Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. Penney's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19-1. As for Brookfield, with the victory, they broke their 38-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Penney will challenge West Platte at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brookfield, they will face off against Mexico at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brookfield is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 12-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
