Recap: Horse Creek Academy Stallions vs. Pelion Panthers
The Horse Creek Academy Stallions's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against Pelion by a score of 55-42. That's another feather in the cap for Horse Creek Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Horse Creek Academy was led to victory by Kingston Hightower and Jeremiah Toole. Hightower scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals, while Toole scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Gary Abraham , who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Horse Creek Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Pelion, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Horse Creek Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Batesburg-Leesville at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. As for Pelion, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Swansea at 7:30 p.m.
