Basketball Recap: Newark Takes a Loss

Newark lost against Seneca back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Newark Norsemen took a blow against the Seneca Fighting Irish, falling 79-21. The Norsemen were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-10.

Newark's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-24. As for Seneca, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

Looking ahead, Newark will square off against Mendota at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Seneca, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Reed-Custer at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
