Football Recap: Lynden Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The matchup between Lynden Christian and Mt. Baker on Friday hardly resembled the 13-7 effort from their previous meeting. The Lyncs were just a hair shy of victory and fell 34-33 to the Mountaineers. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Lyncs, who until this game were averaging 13 points allowed.

Several Lyncs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chris Kooiman, who rushed for 86 yards and two TDs. Boyce Robertson also helped out with an impressive 82 receiving yards.

Mt. Baker got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jet Ross out in front who picked up 119 receiving yards and four scores. Another player making a difference was Toga Tigilau, who threw for 130 yards and four touchdowns.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lynden Christian fell to 6-1. As for Mt. Baker, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.
