Softball Recap: Lamar Comes Up Short at Home Against Russellville

Lamar unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Russellville Cyclones on Friday, falling 12-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered since March 28, 2024.

The win got Russellville back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamar will square off against Paris at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Russellville, they will head out on the road to challenge Rogers Heritage at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
