Rebecca Gonzalez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Alyssa Lopez was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Rosie Lara was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs.
Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Francis W. Parker only posted a batting average of .222.
Meanwhile, Peotone came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Comets. Three seems to be a good number for the Blue Devils as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

On the mound, she struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk).
