Basketball Recap: Oswego Finds Playoff Glory Versus Northeast

It's playoff time, and Oswego had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Northeast Vikings by a score of 58-51 on Thursday. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oswego to victory, but perhaps none more so than Owen Jackson, who went 8-for-18 on his way to 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. That's the most assists Jackson has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Demitri Williamson, who earned 14 points and three steals.

Jackson wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Oswego was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. Oswego is a perfect 12-0 when they've passed the ball that well.

Oswego's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Northeast, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Coming up, Oswego will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Mary's-Colgan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Oswego's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. Northeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
