Football Game Preview: Powell County Wardens vs. Florence-Carlton Falcons + How To Watch

The Powell County Wardens will take on the Florence-Carlton Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Powell County's offense hasn't had much luck over their past five contests, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 42-6, which was the final score in Powell County's tilt against Loyola-Sacred Heart on Friday.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Shawn Lombardi, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Even if they lost, Powell County's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Brendan Hagan, Jarrett Pennington, and Ole Beck, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Florence-Carlton brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 56-0 victory over Thompson Falls. The Falcons have beaten the Blue Hawks the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Blue Hawks has come to flipping the script.

Powell County's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Florence-Carlton, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
