Honaker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the J.I. Burton Black Raiders 67-37. One positive for the Tigers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Honaker's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for J.I. Burton, they moved to 1-4 with that victory, which also ended their 15-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Honaker will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rural Retreat at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for J.I. Burton, they will face off against Thomas Walker at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
