Basketball Recap: Caney Takes a Loss

Caney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 60-18 loss at the hands of the Smithville Braves. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Caney's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Smithville, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caney will venture away from home to take on Erie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Smithville, they will face off against Colbert at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Colbert will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Smithville surely won't give up without a fight.
