Softball Recap: Deer Valley Comes Up Short

Heritage hit Deer Valley with a ten-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolverines came up short against the Patriots, falling 12-0. The Wolverines just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Deer Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fennie Kolaco, who went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases. Kolaco has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

Deer Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Heritage, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
