Volleyball Recap: Nipmuc Regional's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home + How To Watch

If Nipmuc Regional was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Norton on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wachusett Regional Mountaineers on Wednesday. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mountaineers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 16-25, 25-8, 25-22.

Kayleigh Fountain paced Nipmuc Regional's offense, picking up ten kills. Fountain got some help from Gabrielle Leet and her 18 assists. Maya Vercruysse controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Nipmuc Regional's loss ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for Wachusett Regional, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
