Baseball Recap: East Poinsett County Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Armorel, East Poinsett County was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Green Forest Tigers a 6-0 shutout. Considering the Warriors have won three matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory got East Poinsett County back to even at 4-4. As for Green Forest, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

When East Poinsett County and Green Forest next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. East Poinsett County will try to stop Flippin's three-game winning streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Green Forest will challenge Highland and their nine-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
