Baseball Recap: Suwannee Find Success

While Suwannee's victory against Newberry wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Panthers 7-6. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Easton O'Quinn, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Noah Lopez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Suwannee's record is now 6-8. As for Newberry, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Coming up, Suwannee will look to defend their home field on Friday against Florida State University High School at 7:00 p.m. As for Newberry, they will head out to challenge Crystal River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
