Soccer Game Preview: Moore vs. Edmond North

Moore is 0-5 against Edmond North since April of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Lions are taking a road trip to challenge the Huskies at 8:00 p.m.

Moore is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Edmond Memorial, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Moore can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while Edmond Memorial are ranked eighth).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Edmond North). They never let Putnam City North get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Tuesday. Considering Edmond North have won four games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Edmond North has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those five contests. As for Moore, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10-1.

Moore might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Edmond North when the teams last played back in May of 2018. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
