Soccer Game Preview: Anacortes vs. Blaine

Anacortes is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Blaine a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Anacortes Seahawks will host the Blaine Borderites at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Anacortes didn't have quite enough to beat Lynden and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Blaine's offense. They fell just short of Mount Vernon by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Blaine can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 241st, while Mount Vernon are ranked 69th).

Blaine's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Anacortes, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4-2.
