Basketball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence lost against Palma back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Independence 76ers fell 63-56 to the Palma Chieftains.

Independence's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Palma, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Independence will be taking part in a tournament against Aragon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Independence has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 169 points over their last three games. As for Palma, they and Marina will face off at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Marina knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Palma likes a good challenge.
