Basketball Recap: Ark City Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Ark City Christian Academy was the 58-42 winner over Newton HomeSchool when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Ark City Christian Academy received a blow on Monday as they fell 61-43 to the Newton HomeSchool Panthers. Ark City Christian Academy was down 53-30 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Leading Newton HomeSchool to victory were Cameron Fistler and Caleb Mayhew. Fistler en route to 17 points and three steals, while Mayhew posted 12 points and five steals. Fistler continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Theo Busenitz, who earned eight points.

Ark City Christian Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Newton HomeSchool, their win bumped their record up to 6-14.

As of now, neither Ark City Christian Academy nor Newton HomeSchool have any future games scheduled.
