Basketball Game Preview: Lehman Lobos vs. Liberty Hill Panthers

Lehman is 0-4 against Liberty Hill since January of 2023 but things could change on Friday. The Lehman Lobos will face off against the Liberty Hill Panthers at 2:00 p.m.

Lehman is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Saturday. They received a blow as they fell 48-31 to Bridge City. While losing is never fun, the Lobos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 760th, while the Cardinals are ranked 199th).

Meanwhile, Liberty Hill came tearing into Saturday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 55-34 margin over the Timberwolves. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Lehman's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Liberty Hill, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-2 record this season.

Lehman took a serious blow against Liberty Hill in their previous matchup back in January, falling 67-12. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lehman was down 30-6.
