Bloomington South waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 73-63 victory over the Silver Creek Dragons. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 60-52 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Silver Creek lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kasen Daeger, who went 7 for 16 on his way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dane Sprigler, who went 5 of 11 en route to 14 points.

Bloomington South is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Silver Creek, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bloomington South will take on Evansville Harrison at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Silver Creek, they are taking a road trip to face off against Salem at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Silver Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Salem likes a good challenge.
