Basketball Game Preview: South Ridge Panthers vs. Barnum Bombers

The South Ridge Panthers will head out to square off against the Barnum Bombers at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.

South Ridge is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Mountain Iron-Buhl on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. South Ridge was beaten by Mountain Iron-Buhl 84-21. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Meanwhile, Barnum waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They breezed by the Rebels to the tune of 55-22. The Bombers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 30 points or more this season.

Barnum's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for South Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-5.

South Ridge took their win against Barnum in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 56-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Ridge since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
