Baseball Game Preview: Virgin Valley Bulldogs vs. Sports Leadership & Management Bulls

The Virgin Valley Bulldogs will face off against the Sports Leadership & Management Bulls at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Virgin Valley will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Virgin Valley is returning to their home field after beating Mater Academy East Las Vegas on theirs, despite the fact Mater Academy East Las Vegas has dominated at home this season. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Knights by a score of 5-2 on Thursday.

Jordan Goodsell and Cade Litzenberger did most of the damage at the plate: Goodsell went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double, while Litzenberger went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Sports Leadership & Management got the win against Desert Pines on Thursday by a conclusive 14-5. The result was nothing new for the Bulls, who have now won ten matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Virgin Valley pushed their record up to 20-8-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Sports Leadership & Management, their win bumped their record up to 12-17.

Virgin Valley took their victory against Sports Leadership & Management when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 10-1 score. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulls turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
