Basketball Recap: Bryce Valley Takes a Loss

Bryce Valley lost against Wayne back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bryce Valley Mustangs lost 60-36 to the Wayne Badgers. The Mustangs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Wayne found their leader in sophomore AJ VanDyke, who posted 17 points and five rebounds. VanDyke's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Raegyn Blackburn was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

Bryce Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Wayne, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bryce Valley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Monticello at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bryce Valley is facing Monticello at the right time seeing as Monticello is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Wayne, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Escalante at 6:00 p.m.
