Recap: Stringtown Tigers vs. Tushka Tigers
The Stringtown Tigers won the last time they faced the Tushka Tigers, and things went their way on Thursday too. Stringtown skirted past Tushka 46-43. The win made it back-to-back wins for Stringtown.
Tushka's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tagen Simon, who scored seven points along with five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Gibson, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Stringtown's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Tushka, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.
After both having extra time off, Stringtown and Haileyville will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 8:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024. Tushka will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Caney at 8:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
