Volleyball Recap: Greenfield-Central Find Success

Greenfield-Central won the last time they faced Herron and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Achaeans.

Alex Muegge paced Greenfield-Central's offense, picking up 17 kills. Muegge got some help from Addi Blomberg and her 23 assists. Blomberg was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Greenfield-Central's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Herron, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenfield-Central will head out to square off against Waldron at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Herron, they will venture away from home to challenge Purdue Polytechnic at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
