Softball Recap: Cox Gets the Win

Cox posted their closest victory since May 1, 2025 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Bayside Marlins. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Marlins: they've now won six in a row.

Chyann Obiedo was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Daisy Kriz, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Cox's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Bayside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Cox is set to challenge their familiar foe First Colonial at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bayside will square off against rival Kempsville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
