Basketball Recap: Caden Gibbons Key Part of a Team Effort in Panthers Win

Penn Cambria lost to Bishop Carroll back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Penn Cambria Panthers walked away with a 51-44 victory over the Bishop Carroll Huskies. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Penn Cambria to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caden Gibbons, who went 7 for 15 en route to 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Rabish, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 16 points.

Penn Cambria smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Carroll only pulled down four offensive rebounds.

Bishop Carroll's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Will Tremel, who posted ten points. Joey Phillips was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Penn Cambria pushed their record up to 10-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Bishop Carroll, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
