Preview: Parkside vs. Pocomoke

The Parkside Rams need to shore up a defense that is allowing 69.22 points per game before their game on Thursday. They will take on the Pocomoke Warriors. While the odds are definitely not in the Rams' favor, at least they'll be on their home court in front of their own fans.

The Rams received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 71-59 to Crisfield. Parkside got a solid performance out of junior Javon Purnell, who posted a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds along with five blocks; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win. Purnell has also now had at least three blocks in his past seven games. Purnell's points were the most he has had all year.

Meanwhile, everything went Pocomoke's way against Bennett on Tuesday as they made off with an 83-57 victory. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Pocomoke had established a 66-45 advantage. Pocomoke senior Johari Eni looked sharp as he dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten boards.

Parkside is now 7-11 while Pocomoke sits at 15-4. Pocomoke is 10-4 after wins this season, and Parkside is 4-6 after losses.
