Softball Recap: Clinton County Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Clinton County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Cumberland County Panthers 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Panthers two weeks ago, they had to take a 5-1 defeat.

Clinton County pushed their record up to 20-7 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Cumberland County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
