Basketball Recap: Ridgewood's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

There's no place like home for Ridgewood, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Westmont Sentinels by a score of 46-34 on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Rebels as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Westmont's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Payeton Pickens, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Dasha Savchuk, who earned nine points.

Ridgewood's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6. As for Westmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Ridgewood has already played their next contest, a 56-23 loss against Glenbard East on the 17th. As for Westmont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 41-38 win against Rochelle Zell Jewish on the 19th.
