Basketball Recap: Ethan Robison's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Anthony Wayne over Perrysburg

Anthony Wayne lost against Perrysburg back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Generals took a 52-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellow Jackets. The contest marked the Generals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Anthony Wayne lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ethan Robison, who shot 56% from the field on his way to 15 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jackson Urenovitch, who went 5-for-8 en route to 14 points and five boards.

Anthony Wayne's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Perrysburg, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Anthony Wayne and Shawnee will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. The Generals will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Perrysburg and Hilliard Bradley will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
