Baseball Game Preview: Pottsville Crimson Tide vs. Blue Mountain Eagles

Pottsville is 0-10 against Blue Mountain since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Crimson Tide will host the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Pottsville is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Saturday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Wyomissing.

Pottsville saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dominic Rynard, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5. Landon Trout also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Blue Mountain fell victim to Tamaqua and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Blue Raiders by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Pottsville's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Blue Mountain, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-4.
