            Football Recap: Jersey Shore Bulldogs vs. Scranton Prep Cavaliers        
        
		
        
        
            If Jersey Shore was riding high  fresh off their  44-20 takedown of Penn Wood last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs took a  blow against the Scranton Prep Cavaliers on Friday, falling  51-19. The Bulldogs lost against the Cavaliers in their previous head to head  back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the  27-19 score last time.
 Despite the  loss, Jersey Shore saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Nolen Pauling rushed for 54 yards and one  touchdown, and also threw for 180 yards  while completing 71.4% of his passes.
Jersey Shore's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Scranton Prep, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jersey Shore will welcome Central Mountain  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.22  points per  game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Scranton Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Pocono  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Trojans' defense has only allowed 11.4  points per game  this season, so the Cavaliers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
