Softball Recap: Memphis Comes Up Short

Memphis lost to Armada on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Tigers, falling 17-7. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clare Henniger made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Bobcean, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs.

Memphis now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Armada, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Memphis will head out to square off against Sandusky at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Armada, they will venture away from home to face off against Heritage at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
