Recap: West Central Trojans vs. Taylor Titans

The West Central Trojans won the last time they faced the Taylor Titans, and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went West Central's way against Taylor as West Central made off with a 52-27 win. The result was nothing new for West Central, who have now won seven contests by 25 points or more so far this season.

Connor Marlatt was his usual excellent self, rushing for 85 yards and four touchdowns, while also throwing for 98 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. Jacob Pilarski and his 90 yards on the ground were also a key factor in West Central's win.

West Central's win was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 North Newton and 1-9 Taylor (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 32.6% over those games). As for Taylor, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

West Central will head out on the road to face off against Tri-Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tri-Central will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Taylor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
