Baseball Recap: Madison East Takes a Loss

Madison East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 9-3 to the Sun Prairie West Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, with their most recent loss being a 19-0 defeat on Tuesday.

Samuel Jimenez and Uly Brelsford stepped up to the plate in a big way. Jimenez went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Brelsford went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base was Brelsford's first of the season.

Madison East's loss dropped their record down to 0-23. As for Sun Prairie West, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-9.

Madison East wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 7-6 win against Pardeeville on the 17th. As for Sun Prairie West, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Arrowhead on the 16th.
