Baseball Recap: St. Paul Takes a Loss

The St. Paul Cardinals didn't have quite enough to beat the Brazosport Christian Eagles on Tuesday and fell 4-3.

Andrew Nunez was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one double. That double was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Matias, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

St. Paul's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Brazosport Christian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-9-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Eagles beat St. Paul by a score of 13-0 later that day.
