Volleyball Recap: Wakulla War Eagles vs. Bishop Kenny Crusaders
Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Wakulla couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Bishop Kenny Crusaders on Saturday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the War Eagles of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2020.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-18, 25-14.
Amariyah Donaldson paced Wakulla's offense, picking up five kills. Donaldson got some help from Parker Stubbs and her nine assists. Finally, McKenna Peddicord kept Wakulla's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
Bishop Kenny got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sophia Miller out in front who had seven aces and five digs. Those seven aces gave Miller a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Ancayan, who had 13 assists and nine digs.
