Westfall dropped their record down to 9-7 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Piketon Redstreaks, falling 16-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Redstreaks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on April 11th.

Gabby Henry was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Logan McNeal was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

As for Piketon, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2. Considering they have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

On Piketon's side, Kyndall Carroll was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Carroll was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Jaylin Forbes was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Heath, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westfall will host Chillicothe at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Piketon, they will square off against McClain at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
