Basketball Recap: Christ Our Rock Lutheran Comes Up Short

Christ Our Rock Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 54-10 loss at the hands of the East Alton-Wood River Oilers. The Silver Stallions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-6.

Christ Our Rock Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for East Alton-Wood River, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-12 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christ Our Rock Lutheran will challenge Elverado/Zeigler-Royalton at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for East Alton-Wood River, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Breese Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
