Dynamic duo of Miah Ballard and Alexis VanDyke lead North Clay/Clay City to victory

Recap: North Clay/Clay City vs. Wayne City Indians

North Clay/Clay City won the last time they faced the Wayne City Indians, and things went their way on Saturday too. North Clay/Clay City strolled past Wayne City with points to spare, taking the game 46-31. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North Clay/Clay City.

North Clay/Clay City was led to victory by Miah Ballard and Alexis VanDyke. Ballard scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while VanDyke scored 13 points along with two steals and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Fleener, who scored four points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josie Greenwalt, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Greenlea Vaughan, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.

North Clay/Clay City has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-16 record this season. As for Wayne City, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-20.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Clay/Clay City will square off against Robinson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Robinson is coming into the game with four straight wins at home, so North Clay/Clay City is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Wayne City, they will head out on the road to face off against Mt. Carmel at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
