Buena Vista owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Ellicott Thunderhawks with a sharp 9-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Demons, who have now won seven games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Oakley Robison was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hudson Wingo, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

The win made it two in a row for Buena Vista and bumps their season record up to 9-11. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Ellicott, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15-1 record this season.

Buena Vista will have a chance to go back-to-back against Ellicott: the pair will be back at it again later today.
