Volleyball Recap: Leon's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Leon's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Wicksburg Panthers by a score of 2-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Leon easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-17.

Riley Knipple paced Leon's offense, picking up nine kills. Knipple got some help from Riley Perezluha and her nine assists. Knipple was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

The victory got Leon back to even at 4-4. As for Wicksburg, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Coincidentally, Leon and Wicksburg will both be playing Straughn the next time they take the court. The Lions will head out to face the Tigers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 10:00 p.m.
