Volleyball Recap: Chatfield Extends Winning Streak to Three

Chatfield entered their tilt with Wabasha-Kellogg on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Falcons 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Gophers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Chatfield took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-7, 25-14.

Among those leading the charge was Hannah Tweten, who had 13 digs and one assist.

Chatfield was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in nine consecutive matchups.

Chatfield's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Wabasha-Kellogg, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Looking ahead, Chatfield will square off against Rushford-Peterson at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wabasha-Kellogg, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Goodhue on the 25th.
