Softball Recap: Shippensburg Comes Up Short

Shippensburg suffered their closest defeat since May 7, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils by a score of 11-9. The Greyhounds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Shippensburg moved to 3-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Greencastle-Antrim, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Meanwhile, Greencastle-Antrim is set to face off against their familiar foe James Buchanan at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Greencastle-Antrim 3.5, James Buchanan 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
