The Baldwin Highlanders will head out to square off against the Connellsville Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Baldwin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

Baldwin is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Trinity just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 7-3 to the Hillers.

Melina Defelice spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits.

At the plate, Ryley Shaw made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Connellsville might've scored the first runs on Wednesday, but it was Bethel Park who claimed the real prize. The Falcons fell just short of the Black Hawks by a score of 7-6. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Black Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Kalyn Cole was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Cali Leichliter, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Connellsville fell to 2-1. As for Baldwin, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 9-2.
