The biggest upset of the week belonged to Hillsborough, who took down 166th ranked Hillsborough, 21-20.
Phillipsburg's Joe Maso recorded the longest rushing play in Mid-State 38 - Delaware this season in his game against Westfield last week. Maso scampered for 68 yards on the play and finished with 146 on the day as his team bested the Blue Devils.
The Raiders' dynamic duo of ED TRIMPERT and JOHN BANACISKI proved tough for Bridgewater-Raritan to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. TRIMPERT threw for 139 yards and two touchdowns and BANACISKI had 51 yards receiving. NICO MUKENDI helped Hillsborough's passing attack out by catching four balls for 35 yards.
Thanks to the talents of TRIMPERT and BANACISKI Hillsborough has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. TRIMPERT leads the league in passing with 350 yards, while BANACISKI has rushed for 504 yards this season. Franklin's Jose Benjamin leads the league in receiving yards with 152 on six catches.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Warriors take on the Panthers. At the moment, Franklin is in second, while Bridgewater-Raritan is in third.
The Panthers were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to third in the league. Earlier in the week, Bridgewater-Raritan triumphed over the Raiders 21-20.
