Basketball Recap: Grafton Extends Road Winning Streak to Eight

Grafton had won seven straight road games and Kenna Keener did her part to make it eight on Saturday. The Grafton Bearcats strolled past the Sissonville Indians with points to spare, taking the game 65-47 for which the team can thank Keener, who dropped a double-double with 33 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Hadley Horne, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. Her big performance that afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points.

Despite the loss, Sissonville still got an impressive performance from Kynadee Britton, who posted 30 points. Britton is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 14 games she's played. Makaela Ullman was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to six assists and five boards.

Grafton's win bumped their record up to 20-1. As for Sissonville, their loss dropped their record down to 17-5.

Grafton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sissonville, they will take on Hoover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
