Baseball Recap: Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Gets the Win

Waterville-Elysian-Morristown got themselves on the board against Blue Earth on Monday, but Blue Earth never followed suit. They blew past Blue Earth 10-0. Waterville-Elysian-Morristown not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 9, 2024.

Patrick Bauer and Parker James did most of the damage at the plate: Bauer scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2, while James scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave James a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Dahl, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Waterville-Elysian-Morristown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Waterville-Elysian-Morristown's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Blue Earth, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Waterville-Elysian-Morristown will take on Triton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Blue Earth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairmont at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
