Volleyball Recap: West Laurens Finds Home Court Redemption Against Lamar County + How To Watch

There's no place like home for West Laurens, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Lamar County Trojans 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Their offense was headlined by Addison Thomas and Emma Darley, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Skylar Fountain and her ten assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

West Laurens' victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Lamar County, their loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-2.

Coincidentally, West Laurens and Lamar County will both be playing Northside the next time they take the court. The Trojans will head out to face the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Raiders will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
